The End of the Powder

Bono & Tyke checked out the other two ships before sleeping. Bono wind-walked but was noticed the ship's crew.

The Red Wizard on board the ship, shot Bono with a silver needle which caused him to rematerialize and fall into the water, basically dispelling the Wind-Walk Spell. Tyke was able to rescue Bono and teleport both back to the captured ship.

Night Watch

During the night watch, Rondax spots two points of light. No one knows exactly what it is, but the Kawaneze fighter says it is an ill-omen. He claims the two lights are the Eyes of the Death Dragon staring at you from the abyss.

Peaceful Solution

In the morning, the group decides to attempt a peaceful solution, but they will need to talk to the captain of the ships if it is to work. Fortunately, take is able to locate the ships heading towards shore.

The group wind walks while Tyke flies to the ships. The Red Wizard allows the group land on the ship named "Yellow Pearl." Once on board, the group is introduced to the following:

• Kotagi - White Crane Monastary monk
• Hino Azumaro - Captain of "Yellow Pearl"
• Shinji - former captain of the ship the group captured

Negotiations for a peaceful solution do not go well until Hino asked the Princess about her father's death and her brother. She was given a mark on her shoulder by her father as a means to identify the royal family.

During the discussion and introductions, Ingrid finally find out that JL is a Stormslayer. She is not pleased at being kept in the dark for so long.

Jean Luc guarentees to purchase a ship and the powder as well as reimburse Hino for the cost of the tariffs for his remaining goods. Hino is more worried about how the group expects to atone for the deaths of the other crew.

Atonement

• The group will clean out Noldair.
  • Will kill two dark souls for each crew member killed

• 5,300 Gagnerian Marks : Hino's expected profit from remaining goods, to be matched by group

Hino provides Prentice with a silvered mirror to contact him. The mirror only works under the full moon. Also gives the group an ivory scroll case with a scared scripture of the teachings of the Fire Dragon concerning Honor and free thinking. Also included is a scroll that will allow the group to track the deaths of dark souls.

The two parties will meet at Goldport, Estivinia in six weeks to pay dues.

Fire Powder

The group's primary concern after conclusion of the negotiations is what to do with the Fire Powder. Tyke places two barrels in the portable hole and the group decides to scuttle the remaining barrels.

While moving the powder, Sol mis-handled one which exploded causing massive damage and costing Sol most of his beard. A barrel Prentice was carrying also went off, again causing massive damage. As a side-effect the barrel Bono was carrying also exploded, followed shortly by 74 other barrels.

Tyke insists on experimenting with the barrels on his deserted island, using various spells to produce the largest possible explosion.

Dierthane's problems

After the destruction of all the barrels, the group Windwalks back to the Dierthane coast and the second grove. There the discover the priests are worried. The orcs have placed the entire town under marshal law. They started pulling people off the streets and placing them in a camp for questioning. The orcs are punishing the Bernish people for the group's involvement in the destruction of both of the Halls of Justice and the shipment of Fire Powder.

The orcs have commandeered a fortress to the north. A few Bernish citizens still employed at the fortress. This is the center of the orc command structure.

The temporary holding camp has approximately 25-30 orcs.
Dierthane has an unknown number of orcs.
The fortress has an unknown number of orcs.

Hagrack Magegelder commands the fortress.

Serin

The group teleports to Serin, exchanges 8160 Kawaneze gold for 7344 royals. Tyke places the Farazian History Book in the Tower's library. The group also makes another 14,559 royals from selling off miscellaneous goods.

Rondax meets or Rormax, another wemic, and trades stories. Rormax knows a witch doctor who can help enhance a wemic's claws. The witch doctor is known as Zarox. Rondax meets with Zarox who explains the Right of the Panther, claws of the Ghost Panther. The ritual requires many expensive herbs and provides one of three enhancements (+1, +2, +1 Ghost Touch). Rondax decides on +1 Ghost Touch, which will cost 7,000. During the ritual a large ghost panther attacks and then merges with Rondax. Tyke also partakes of the ritual and a ghost panther cub merges with him, but is not as comfortable.
A portion of this money goes to Rondax to pay for a ritual designed to improve his claw attacks, which Rondax discovers is possible after speaking with Rormax
