Second Group History

Session Date: 2008-10-12
Met at Adam's, entire party available.

The entire session was spent gathering information.

The group needs information concerning the shipment of alchemical substance and the purpose of that substance.

Bono finds out that the shipment of alchemical substance is very important to the orcs. Bono is unable to find anyone that knows the purpose of the substance. He is able to determine that the shipments will come in on 15 smaller ships.

Dierthane had two alchemists, but both left the town approximately three weeks ago under mysterious circumstances. Both had been questioned extensively by the orcs. Prior to their disappearance, the father/son team remained on the right side of the law, refused to sell poisons/acids to the thieve's guild. Bono was stopped and questioned by an orc patrol while casing the Alchemist's shop, during the interrogation he used the name Bebop Houndstongue.

Moving on, the group attempts to locate anyone else capable of deciphering the alchemical formula found by Tyke. Sol spoke with Baldo and determines there is two possibilities. 1. Older Ghantran Wizard named Felipe Redthrone. 2. Seigard Normsdaughter - most likely a savage witch/rune caster.

Rondax and Prentice approach Seigard in her cabin outside of town. She apparently has a raven familiar. She tells Rondax and Prentice about the type of trades she is willing to make. For a reading of the Runes, she accepts a bottle(s) of wine from EverDark where Alexi Stormslayer lives and tells the two:

Rondax would like to trade with the witch for savage rituals to increase his attack power against armored foes.

Tyke infiltrates the Alchemists' house/shop and finds the following:

• Brass Box, warm to the touch. Closet Upstairs of shop
• 1st room of the house was trashed due to a struggle.
• A receipt next to the stove in the kitchen concerning a secret Cold Storage Facility from Harold Silverspear. The receipt specifies delivery after hours at the back gate.
• Parchment upstairs under the mattress in the father's room.
• Small strong box in father's room.
• Personal letter to Alchemist from Theodore Grimm.

Harold Silverspear is the Court Steward. His personal finances show several payments listed for A under household expenses. He may have work for Bono as an alchemist.

Jean Luc awoke that night due to a sense of evil. In the process he also woke up Sol. Sol heard something calling his name from outside the window. When he opened it, he was met by 3 Monstrous Spiders, each standing 16' tall.
