Kelidno's Offer to Prentice

That night after returning to the Broken Palace of Noldair, the group cremates Millisant. Prentice keeps a vigil over the burning remains. While there, he is approached by Kelidno, who as always appears from the mist. Kelidno questions Prentice's ability yield Britigit's power. He speaks of balance in the scales. He also claims that the victim does not need to die. Questions why Prentice had the spell to bind a spirit prepared. Kelidno asks if Prentice will ever ask for that particular power again.


Kelidno does offer to share with Prentice the location of the lost art of raising the dead. Prentice questions whether that knowledge should remain lost. Kelidno expands his offer, saying that if Prentice should ever decide that this knowledge should return to the world, Kelidno will show Prentice the path to that knowledge.




The group spends the next day identifying magic items. The most unusual of the lot is the Jebistan oil lamp, which holds a genie from the sea and from a time long since past. She does not particularly care for the current year. As is her curse, she offers three services. After some discussion, the group decides it would be best to free her completely.....
