This solo character, played by pghkitten, is an esper acolyte from the city of Steepleton. She turned thirteen a few weeks ago, and at the time of her inception, was being secretly courted by the much older Marquis Phillipe de Malletande(1). Marie-Thérèse, swayed by his romantic propositions, his promises to help out her family, and her own youthful inexperience, was certainly on the way to allowing the Marquis certain liberties when her life took a sharp turn.
Marie-Thérèse, a devout Plonite, was in the contemplationary seeking guidance about her difficult situation when she realized she was receiving mental impressions of other people's thoughts and feelings. At first she saw this as a sign from her god, but a traveling esper informed her of the truth: her Earthgift had awakened, and she had begun the process of becoming an esper herself. The stranger accepted her as an acolyte, and her family strongly supported her decision to explore her newfound abilities.
She has appeared as a cameo in one Second Group meeting; she witnessed an apparent breach of Plonite law perpetuated by Sir Jean-Luc and his entourage while they were visiting the Marquis's estate, and felt obliged to inform the local bishop about their actions. She hasn't learned of any repercussions of her actions yet, as her new apprenticeship gave her an easy opportunity to break things off with the Marquis.
