1. What Belongs Where?

Answer :
As of February 9, 2009, Adam wants to try to keep items organized as follows:

Wiki Pages:

  • Character bios,
  • Non-player character bios
  • Location details
  • Item details (relics, artifacts, etc)
  • Custom rule/Prestige Class

Articles:

Any stories that take place outside of any campaign and does not involve the dm.
Character created works

Blogs::

  • General Announcements
  • Campaign Histories

2. How do Categories Work?

Answer:
Each page/article can have multiple categories. Blogs are categorized while the entries inside the Blogs are not.

For each page:
  • Determine if it pertains to a particular group
    • Multiple groups are ok.
    • Is it a particular type of information for that group (PC, NPC, Former Character, etc)
  • Determine if it pertains to a particular World
    • If a particular world is identified, does it pertain to a particular type of information about that world
      • Location
      • NPC
      • Campaign
      • etc

Select the inner most category that fits from the top level categories. If you believe a new category/sub-category is needed, please let us know. Do not select an upper level category of a selected sub-category.

For instance if an NPC affects First Group
Select the following Categories:
Worlds -> Galon -> NPCs
Campaigns -> First Group -> NPCs

But do not select Worlds, Worlds -> Galon, Campaigns, Campaigns -> First Group as these additional categories are already included in the original selection.

3. Footnotes/Anchors?

Answer:
Footnotes a combination of Anchors and links to the anchors. First I'll cover the links.
The icon of a globe with a chain link on it, located in the third row of icons when in the editor can create an Anchor.
To the Footnote{SUP()}{ALINK(aname="ABC")}ABC{ALINK}{SUP}
will produce the following:
To the FootnoteABC.

{SUP()}
{SUP}

will make the anchor link a superscript.

The second portion is the anchor, which is the destination.
Provided there's a matching anchor in this page (created by the anchor icon in the 3rd row of the editor), the link will take you down to the bottom of the page. The created anchor at the bottom the page is shown here:
{ANAME()}ABC{ANAME}ABC Should bring you here.

To make these into footnotes, just place them at the bottom of the page after
---
__Footnotes:__

4. One Page, Multiple Titles?

Expansion: This is useful if you have one subject known by many titles. For instance, Jean-Luc Stormslayer. In most places, you only want to type Jean-Luc, and in some case a more abbreviated version JL, or if it's more formal, you can use his full title, Sir Jean-Luc Stormslayer.
Answer:
At the top of the page containing the content, you need to add:
(alias(Sir Jean-Luc Stormslayer))
(alias(JL))
(alias(Jean-Luc))

Go ahead, check his page now through any of the links above, they all point to the same page.

Footnotes:
ABC Should bring you here.
