Fungal Growth
Sphere: Plant
Suggested Level: 1
Range: 10-ft./level
Components: V, S
Duration: Permenant
Casting Time: 1 round
Area of Effect: 10-ft./level cube
Saving Throw: None

This spell causes fungus within the area of effect to grow and spread rapidly. There is a 20% increase in fungal mass and volume per level of the caster. Therefore a 5th level priest casting Fungal Growth on a 1 foot cube of fungus would cause it to grow to 2 cubic feet of fungus.
Sleep Spores
Sphere: Plant
Suggested Level: 2
Range: 10 yards/level
Components: V, S
Duration: 1 round/level
Casting Time: 4
Area of Effect: 5-foot/level cube
Saving Throw: Special

This spell causes fungus in the area of effect to produce sedative spores that cause all those within the area of effect to save vs. poison or fall asleep for 1 turn/level with the saving throw modified by the density of fungus in the area. For the common forest environment, the save is made at a -2 penalty, for areas with above normal fungus density, the save is made at a -5 penalty. For areas with very high fungus density (i.e. a cave with walls covered in fungus) the save is made at a -10 penalty. If there is no fungus in present in the area of effect, the spell effects only one target creature with a normal save vs. poison made to avoid the effects of the spell.

The spell affects a cubic volume whose sides are 5 feet long per level of the caster, thus a 7th level caster could affect a 35'x35'x35' cube. The spell lasts until the end of the indicated duration, although it can be ended sooner (the spore cloud, not the induced sleep) by a strong wind. The sleep effect can be ended by a Neutralize Poison or Heal spell.
Undead Rot
Sphere: Plant, Necromancy
Suggested Level: 2
Range: 10 yards/level
Components: V, S, M
Duration: 2 rounds/level
Casting Time: 4
Area of Effect: 1 undead/level within a 30-ft. cube
Saving Throw: None

This spell affects only undead, creating a fungus to form upon them that quickly begins to break down the decomposed flesh and bone of the undead (the fungus being a species close to that of the violet fungus). The fungus causes damage to the undead at a rate of 1 point of damage per every 2 levels of the caster. Therefore a 5th level caster would cause 3 points of damage to up to 5 undead creatures for 10 rounds. Any undead killed or destroyed by this spell can no longer be re-animated.

The material component for this spell is a small amount of violet fungus.
Myconid Growth
Sphere: Plant
Suggested Level: 3
Range: 60 yards
Components: V, S, M
Duration: 3 rounds/level
Casting Time: 6
Area of Effect: 1 fungus/2 levels within a 30-ft. radius
Saving Throw: None

This spell causes 1 fungus per level of the caster within a 30-ft. to become myconids with 1 HD for every 3 levels of the caster. Therefore a 9th level priest would create up to 5 myconids with 3 HD each. The myconids created by this spell will be loyal to the caster as will all further myconids created by them. At the end of the spell's duration, all myconids created by this spell return to their original form, but any myconids created by the myconids created by this spell remain but are no longer loyal to the caster. The material component for this spell is the fungus to be transformed into myconids.
Good Fungus/Bad Fungus
Sphere: Plant
Suggested Level: 5
Range: Contact
Components: V, S, M
Duration: 1 day/level
Casting Time: 5 rounds
Area of Effect: 1d4 mushrooms
Saving Throw: None

This spell causes 1d4 mushrooms to be enchanted such that for the duration of the spell, anyone eating the mushroom gains the benefit of a Neutralize Poison spell being cast upon them. The material component for this spell is the mushrooms to be enchanted. If the mushrooms are not consumed by the end of the spell's duration, they turn to dust.

The reverse of this spell, Bad Fungus is different in that those consuming the mushrooms are affected as if the Poison (the reverse of Neutralize Poison) is cast upon them, but at a -3 penalty to their poison save.
Flemnore's Fundamental Fungal Breakdown
Sphere: Plant
Suggested Level: 6
Range: Contact
Components: V, S, M
Duration: Permanent
Casting Time: 2 rounds
Area of Effect: 1 creature or 1 cubic feet/level of material
Saving Throw: Neg.

This spell causes the creature or material touched to be broken down into fungal matter of equal mass. The type of fungus is determined by the nature of the creature or material. Creatures or material affected in this manner are allowed a saving throw vs. Death Magic to avoid the affect of this spell completely. Creatures killed in this manner can only be restored by the use of a Wish, Limited Wish, Reincarnation, or Resurrection spell and only provided that the fungus is complete and intact. Material destroyed by this spell can be restored by use of a Wish or Limited Wish spell. The material component of this spell is any rare fungus of at least 1000 gp in value that is burned during the casting of the spell.
