This story is the first fiction by LAZ concerning his soloist character Gimble , a bugbear sage specialized in exotic weaponry, and his companion, a talking rat named Rat. It concerns Justin's infamous rogue, Bono Fosbury, and details a pivotal event early in his adventuring career. The story also pays homage to the long-forgotten Lunch Group campaign, revisting a character Justin played long ago and revealing where he went after that short-lived party disbanded.
