At the beginning of Sol's adventuring career, Belack and Veit Anvilhead led the surviving dwarves from Dol Geldar to Copperwell. Once at Copperwell, Belack and Veit, with help from Coros Steelbiter, set up the Dol Geldar refugees at Copperwell.
Once the Council of Thanes arrived, Belack's position began to unravel. In time, the council deemed Belack unfit to stand with them. At that time, Belack exiled himself from Copperwell and has not been heard from since.
